The approach to this classroom format is referred to as a "Flipped Classroom." Rather than using class time to lecture, video lectures will be available for the use of students at anytime. In class time will be used for discussions, assignments, projects, group work, and more.
Since this is a course devoted to sight-reading, each page will be dedicated to teaching this craft in some way. You will find that it is laid out in a way that is easy to follow.
All lesson work, aside from the work labeled "In Class Work," is to be done at home.
The purpose of this series of lessons is to fulfill ART.M.1.HS.6 from the Michigan standards for Music Education.
ART.M.1.HS.6: Sight read accurately and expressively, music with a moderate level of difficulty.
Things you need to do:
Create a Google Drive associated with your SCHOOL EMAIL. For a how-to, please see Mrs. Sinclair.
Create a Screencast-o-Matic account and download the recording option. This will allow you to show me your screen and your face at the same time.
